Another Award!

Winner for Best Commercial Project in QLD

Hamptons Design Co. project & North Queensland builder’s triumph as award winners for the ‘Best commercial project in QLD’ for glam-packer resort at the AWCI QLD awards.

Hamptons Design Co (along with a great team of tradespeople and a switched on project manager) designed, constructed and implemented this project, Australia’s first ever 5-star resort hostel, from the ground up. This included Rambutan’s entire business structure and marketing strategy, which caters to a multitude of travelers.

Current research and statistics show the new focus on the Y generation, a demographic with high expectations and demands, which Michelle and the team considered in every step of their process. Upon completion of the project, Michelle was nominated for the AWCI design award by the tradespeople who worked on site, and took home 1st place at the grand event in2015 for creative walls and ceilings and Best Project greater than 4 million.

An article was also published in the architecturally-focused  magazine, Architectural Design, detailing Hampton Design Co’s usage of an innovative new idea using MDF boards for a feature wall. This approach created an alternative, light-weight option to concrete.
